11-12-2017 Cheko is a 2 year old cross breed who has come to use from truly appalling conditions in Romania. She has witnessed and experienced things no dog should see and she was saved by a Romanian rescue who have very little funds. Thanks to our wonderful supporters we were able to offer help to 28 of these dogs and so now Cheko is here to find a home.    Cheko is a dog to touch your heart.  She is not cute and fluffy but has a heart of gold and wants to believe that people can be kind.  She is unsure and nervous to find herself here and her eyes tell us stories of despair and fear.  She has come here with her mother Blinka and will need a home with at least on other kind dog to help her learn about living in a home probably for the first time in her life. We are looking for really kind, gentle and patience owners who understand she will take time to settle and learn about house training and lead walking.  If that's you please complete her application form.

Today I  put the harness on Cheko, she didn't mind it at all. She also came for a short walk with me aswell and started to explore a little taking in all the new smells. everyday she is making a little more progress, with some treats and patients I'm sure it won't be long untill she is excited to go for a walk

16-01-18 UPDATE

Today Cheko came out for a walk and hardly hesitated, She now lets me put her harness on without any fuss and is gaining more confident by the day. When we went out for a walk earlier today she was a little nervous of cars but didn't mind the horses walking past us.

01-02-18 UPDATE

Cheko and Sky were playing in the sand and i managed to get a video of them.  She is worlds apart from the girl I first met when she came to us. To see the change in her is amazing from a shy girl to such a happy playful one. I also took a brush with me to see if she would let me groom her and she did! Cheko is an amazing dog who needs to have a family to call her own. While she is waiting for a forever home she is growing more and more each day.

10-04-18 UPDATE

Cheko has come such a long way in the  4 months she has been with us. She has become so much more confident since I first met her. Back then she wouldn’t come to me so taking her out was a long task having to ask for assistance just to put her lead on. But then she started changing towards those she was spending more time with and she did really well with Melissa.
Now she’s so confident she doesn’t miss her former roommate Sky, who she followed around and helped her adapt to her surroundings.
Cheko walks loverly on a lead and passes all dogs without fuss and is kennal clean so please help us find her/their forever home.
The only thing, she would need a home without cats!

19-04-18 UPDATE

Im really finding it hard to believe its been nearly 5 MONTHS that Cheko has been here. She is a lovely 2 year old crossbreed from Romania who gets on well with most dogs but not cats. She is currently in with a Saluki but has seen so many of her friends find their forever homes. Cheko walks lovely on a lead and is also kennal clean so please help us find her forever home.

15-05-18 UPDATE

Took little Cheko out for a short walk in the sun today as it was a bit too warm for a long one. She just loves being out and about and is so happy with the simple things in life. Gaining more confidence everyday here but she just needs that break to explore and meet new friends so please help her find her forever home.

Mum found her home quite soon but before she lefts me she said "Cheeks"( that was her special name for me) please always try and be a good girl and do your best...these new peeps are okay so you must give them a chance!
It was hard when she left but I dids my bestest, making friends with lots of doggos who shared my kennel and brought out my playful side...I loves to plays wiv my friends and toys...toys are Fab! So that is some of my news so far....if the kennel Mum turns her back tomorrow maybes I can writes some more, can spill the gossip of what goes on after the peeps have gone to bed 😉 Ia revedere,
