14-12-17 Juniper is a 4 year old exbreeding Yorkie. She has come to us in desperate need of some TLC - her toe nails were so long she couldn't actually walk, but they have now been clipped and she now feels a lot more comfortable. Juniper is very scared at the moment and a quiet household is needed to help her adjust to her new life. She has never lived indoors before nor walked on a lead and she will need a nice confident little dog to show her these things and more about being a loved pet. Juniper is a darling little dog who just needs some patiemce, time and lots of love to help her shine.
07-01-18 UPDATE
Juniper (known in her foster home as Jenny) has been here for a couple of weeks and is really getting the hang of things. Today was a bit of an adventure, a car ride and then her first walk outside of the garden. She did amazingly well and enjoyed all the sniffs and smells and walked well for a first outing.
Jenny is a happy little dog adapting well to life away from kennels, getting on well with my other dogs and cats, slowly gaining some weight and her hair is beginning to thicken up. She loves her food and eats alongside the other dogs.
Jenny has discovered how good it is to settle down for a snooze in front of the log burner, lovely to see her so relaxed Toilet training is good with only the odd accident. It's still early days but so proud of Jenny, she is very bright with a great character.

Juniper (Jenny) is making good progress and has settled well into family life. She is now beginning to interact with the other dogs but prefers to sleep away from the others on the sofa or in a bed.
She is very enthusiastic about going out and enjoys being in the car and sits quietly and travels well. When we meet other dogs she likes to go up and see them with her tail wagging.
Jenny loves her food I think the kitchen is her favourite room! She eats well with the others and enjoys some carrot as a treat after her meal. It's a pleasure to foster this lovely little Yorkie, watching her gaining confidence all the time, who is going to make a wonderful companion.
14-03-18 UPDATE Juniper (Jenny) has been returned to foster after a few weeks in her adopted home as things didn't work out for her. Jenny had settled in well with her friends and enjoying going for walks, off lead stays close never venturing very far. Jenny is a happy girl but at times a little anxious and wary. Very playful especially when she greets me in the morning, tail wagging and toys everywhere. she interacts with my dog some of the time and walks well in a group but in the evenings she likes her own space. She would be best in a home with a confident but calm older dog. She prefers women to men and if there was a female in the household at home most of the time we would consider homing her as an only dog. She has been left for short times on her own and she was fine but her new owner would need to build her up to this. Jenny is house trained (only the odd accident ). It's great to have her here but she really needs a forever home.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
