Many Tears Rescue is looking for a dedicated, animal-loving person (or couple) to join our rescue team in a live-in role. This isn’t just a job - it’s a lifestyle. We know the right person is out there, and we’re happy to wait until we find you. Please, only apply if you have a solid 5+ years experience working in the animal industry and are 25 or over to enable you to be insured to drive our animal transport vans.
You’ll need a basic knowledge of veterinary care to carry out essential evening checks. That includes monitoring dogs’ temperatures, administering medication, and keeping an eye on drips or recovering animals - all under supervision of our veterinary surgeon. Confidence and calmness around dogs of all shapes, sizes, temperaments, and backstories is essential—some are scared, some are reactive, all are in need of kindness and structure.
This is a hands-on role based in our kennels, and you’ll be expected to help with night-time support as needed. In return, we offer free on-site accommodation, but please be aware - we’re three miles from the nearest shop, so your own transport is a must.
We can’t stress this enough: this job is not for the faint-hearted. It requires dedication, hard work, and a genuine passion for animal welfare. We won’t compromise on the standard of care we give our animals, so we can’t compromise on who joins our team. Flexibility is key and it’s essential you are a team player and follow instructions well.
If this sounds like your calling, please send a detailed application to swvanatta@gmail.com along with a cover letter explaining why this role is right for you. We look forward to hearing from someone special.
Pay: From £25,500.00 per year
