Sweet Scooter, a Playful Pup Ready for His Forever Home

Scooter is a 10-month-old Miniature Poodle who has come to us from a breeder to find the kind and patient forever home he truly deserves. This little lad arrived very overwhelmed, having seen very little of the world. Everything about home life is still very new to him, but he has made wonderful progress in his foster home.

Scooter is currently in foster care where he shares his home with several other dogs, both male and female, and his brother, Shinta, who arrived with him. The two boys have a lovely bond and enjoy spending their days playing chase, tumbling around together, and curling up for naps. We would be happy to home them together if the right home came along, but Scooter could also be rehomed separately as long as he has at least one kind and confident resident dog to help him continue to build his confidence and show him the ropes.

In his foster home, Scooter has learned to walk nicely on a lead and enjoys his walks with the other dogs. He has even started going off lead in safe areas and has good recall. Like any young pup, Scooter is full of energy, playfulness, and mischief, so his new family will need to continue working on his training and help guide him as he grows and matures.

As Scooter came from a breeder, he has never lived in a home before coming into foster care. His adopters will need to continue supporting him with house training, confidence building, and learning about all the sights and sounds of home life. He will also need someone who is home much of the time to continue his training and help him feel secure.

When he first arrived, Scooter was very matted and uncomfortable, but after a much-needed groom, he is now feeling much happier. He did have some sore skin, but with gentle care, this has been improving and will continue to heal over time.

Scooter is a sweet and gentle soul who would thrive in a calm, adult-only home where his adopters can offer him patience, love, and plenty of positive experiences. With the right support, Scooter will blossom into a wonderful companion who will bring so much joy to his new family.

As Scooter arrived from Ireland, he comes with his travel documentation.

Scooter's Diary

  • Scooter is doing so well in his foster home, which he is sharing with numerous male and female dogs.

He has learned to walk on a lead and now enjoys going out exploring with the other dogs. He is off-lead in safe areas and his recall is good.

Scooter is a very playful and mischievous young boy. His best playmate is Shinta, they love to play chase, rough and tumble, and curl up together to sleep. Both boys are loving, playful, and can be rehomed together in the right home.

As with any young dog, they are full of themselves and typical pups. Scooter will need someone who is home a lot to continue his training.

  • Scooter is an older pup who has come to us from a breeder to find the kind, patient forever home he so desperately needs. This dinky little lad hasn’t seen much of the world and is currently feeling very overwhelmed to find himself in kennels.

He will need another kind and confident resident dog in his new home to be his friend and take him under their wing. He’s never lived in a home before, so his adopters will need to help him learn all about home life including house training and walking on a lead.

At the moment, Scooter is worried by people and will try to hide away, but with love and kindness, we believe he will slowly start to trust and come out of his shell.

When he arrived, Scooter was very matted and uncomfortable, but after a much-needed groom he’s feeling much better. He does have some sore skin, but with time and gentle care this will begin to heal.

Scooter will need a calm and quiet adult only home with adopters who can give him the time and space he needs to settle in. He has never lived in a home before and doesn’t yet know about house training or walking on a lead, but with gentle guidance and a kind dog to follow he will learn in his own time. Scooter will definitely need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in his new home to be his friend and take him under their wing.

Scooter is a sweet soul who’s had a rough start, if you can offer him the patience and love he’s been missing, we’re sure he will blossom into a very special companion. Scooter has a travel document
