  • Human family requirements

I can live with dog-savvy teenagers who understand my needs.

  • Other pet requirements

I could live with other dogs or be an only dog but I haven't met cats yet.

  • House and garden requirements

I am still active and would love a garden where I can get my sniffs in.

  • Out and about requirements

I'm getting older but I still enjoy the outdoors and would enjoy quiet walks.

  • Training needs

I walk well on the lead but might need help with housetraining.

  • Medical issues

I have been neutered and am ready to find my forever home.

25-04-25 Jasper is sweet boy who has come to us from a farm where he has spent his life working and is now entering into his golden years. He is now beginning his well-earned retirement and is looking for a kind and understanding home where he can enjoy the comforts he has never known and we are hopeful that someone special will come along soon to show him what it means to be truly loved.

At the moment, Jasper is understandably overwhelmed by all the changes in his life. Everything is new and unfamiliar, and he is doing his best to take it all in. He is currently a little aloof, but we believe this is simply because he is still trying to make sense of his surroundings. In time, and with the right guidance, his gentle nature will shine through.

Jasper is a confident lad and could be homed as an only dog in a calm and patient environment. He also gets along well with other dogs, so could happily live with a kind canine companion who can help him learn about life in a home. We are unsure if Jasper is completely house clean, and this will continue to be assessed. However, his new family will need to give him the time and encouragement to learn at his own pace.

He walks beautifully on the lead and would love nothing more than some quiet walks where he can sniff to his heart’s content. Jasper may be older, but he is ageing gracefully and has a youthful energy about him that makes him a joy to be around.

Jasper could live with older, dog-savvy children who will respect his space while he settles in. What he needs most is a peaceful home with people who will give him the time, patience, and love he’s never had. In return, he will be a loyal and gentle companion.
