A Gentle Heart Waiting to Be Loved

Arctic is a 6-year-old Pomeranian who has come to us from a breeder in search of her very first home. Right now, she is feeling frightened and unsure of the world around her. When approached, she often retreats to the back of her kennel and shakes, but we’ve already seen her trying her very best to be brave.

Recently, Arctic watched her kennel friends take treats from a carer’s hand and, after a little while, she edged forward herself. These small steps show us the courage inside her, and with gentle guidance, we believe she’ll slowly come out of her shell.

Because of her sensitive nature, Arctic is looking for a calm and quiet adult-only home with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs. She must be rehomed with at least one kind and confident resident dog who can offer her comfort and help her learn how to enjoy life in a loving home. Arctic has never lived in a home before, so everything will be new to her. She will need time and patience as she learns about house training, walking on a lead, and getting used to the daily rhythms of family life.

Arctic is a sweet little lady with some fur loss, which we hope will begin to improve after her spay with a bit of TLC. She also has an enlarged mammary gland, but our vets are not concerned at this time. These health matters will be considered pre-existing conditions, so they are unlikely to be covered by standard pet insurance policies.

With a peaceful home, lots of love, and a kind canine companion by her side, we believe Arctic will slowly begin to trust and bloom into the beautiful Pom she was always meant to be. If you're ready to offer her the safety and affection she needs, she may just reward you with the most heartwarming transformation.

Arctic's Diary

  • Sweet little Arctic tried her very best today to be brave! Her kennel friends were a little more courageous and were able to take treats from my hand as she watched from afar, although after observing for some time she managed to take some steps closer and I think before long she’ll be happy enough to accept treats and fuss.

She is a dinky little lady with some hair loss, with plenty of tlc and a loving home we are hoping she’ll bloom into a beautiful Pom-pom!

Artic will need a confident resident dog in the home to help her settle in and show her the ropes of toilet training, walking on lead and socialising! Children would be to over whelming for her so an adult only home would be best suited.

  • Arctic has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. At the moment, she’s very frightened and she will retreat to the back of her kennel and shake like a leaf when approached.

Arctic is looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs. She will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help her settle in and show her that life can be safe and full of love.

She has never lived in a home before, so everything will be new to her and her adopters will need to be patient and understanding as she learns about home life and begins to pick up new skills like house training. She will also need to learn all about walking on a lead and will need to practice first around the home and garden as she gains confidence.

With time, love, and gentle reassurance, we believe she can blossom into a loving companion. If you have a peaceful home and a heart big enough to help her on her journey, Arctic could be the one who needs you most.

Arctic has an enlarged mammary gland which our vets are not concerned about, and she has some fur loss which we hope will begin to improve and grow back after her spay.
