When sweet Tour initially arrived with us she was completely terrified of human touch; once in your arms she’d be fine but getting her there would require a blanket as 9 times out of 10 she’d completely freak. She’d spend her time cowering in her kennel or yard as soon as a human was in sight. *Fast forward 4 weeks.
Tour is still very much a nervous lady, she heavily relies on other dogs for her confidence so will definitely need at least one resident dog in her new home - ideally one who will cuddle up with her, play with her and generally show her the ropes of house life. These days she gets excited to see me as it usually means food time/play time. She’ll hop into her basket, tail wagging and wait to be picked up - she still isn’t a huge fan but allows you to do so with no blanket. She also gets zoomies in front of humans now which you’d never see from her before and will run up, lick your fingers and zoom off again.
Tour hasn’t learnt to walk on a lead yet as she’s still pretty nervous with touch but will be something we’ll be introducing her to soon.
This special sweetheart has really made herself a place in my heart, watching her progress (no matter how big or small) has been so rewarding to witness and I’m really hoping someone gives her the chance to further progress in a home environment.

From Fearful to Brave – Tour’s Heartwarming Journey
Tour is a 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier cross who came to Many Tears from a breeder, and this little lady has come such a long way in a short space of time. When she first arrived, Tour was absolutely terrified of human contact. She would cower in her kennel or hide in the yard if anyone came near, and the only way to pick her up was gently using a blanket. But Tour has been incredibly brave, and with time, patience, and love, she’s begun to show us glimpses of the bright, loving dog she is underneath the fear.
Now, a few months later, Tour gets excited when she sees someone she trusts. She’ll hop into her basket, tail wagging, and wait to be picked up, no blanket needed. She still finds handling a little scary, but once in your arms she settles well. One of the most joyful signs of her progress is seeing her get the zoomies, playfully dashing about and even coming up to lick your fingers before running off again. These little moments of confidence are hard-won and deeply special.
Tour spent some time in foster before returning to the rescue, and there she showed how much she enjoys a calm, comfy lifestyle. She is crate trained, fine with cats, and can be left for a few hours. She loves nothing more than snuggling into a cosy bed and watching the world go by. Tour will need kind and understanding adopters to help her learn about house training, walking on a lead, and feeling safe in a family environment. These things will come with time, patience, and the right support.
What Tour needs most is a quiet, loving home with at least one confident resident dog. She relies on other dogs for comfort and encouragement, and will need a canine companion who can show her how lovely life in a home can be.
Tour had a number of seizures since being with us. She is now on daily medication and doing well but has recently had another seizure. Her condition will be classed as pre-existing by insurers, but her medication is not too expensive and manageable, and we can support her new family with advice if needed. She also had a lump removed from her left shoulder, which our vet confirmed was a haematoma (a simple blood-filled swelling) that has healed.
Tour is a truly special girl who has already overcome so much. Watching her begin to trust, to play, and to feel joy has been deeply rewarding for those who care for her. Now she’s ready for the next chapter, a home where she can continue to grow, at her own pace, with someone who will adore her just as she is.
If you can offer Tour the safety, companionship, and love she deserves, she’ll give you her quiet trust and her beautiful little heart in return.

Tour has been in foster for nearly 2 weeks and is a quiet inoffensive little soul who likes nothing more than the easy life, snuggling in her cosy bed. She is crate trained but sleeps all night anywhere she finds a spot either with or without another dog. Tour can be left alone for a couple of hours and is fine with the cats here. She can be be a bit timid around handling but once in your arms settles well. Tour would need a calm household where she can be doted upon.

Tour is a very lovely little lady that has come to us from a breeder to start her new life. Tour is trying her very hardest and is being so brave, but relies on her friends for comfort and help approaching you as she is not accustomed to us humans just yet. Tour would benefit from a kind resident dog in the home to look to while she settles in and to help her build her confidence. Tour can be a little wiggly when being picked up, but settles into your arms and is easily handled once she is calm. Tour has not had a chance to live in a home just yet, and so she will need her new adopters to be understanding while she learns new skills such as how to walk on a lead and house training. Tour is such a great girl she just needs someone to take a chance on her and to show her love and kindness.
