A Gentle Soul Ready to Bloom

Arina is a 6-year-old Cavachon who has come to us from a breeder and is now learning, for the first time, what it means to be part of a loving home. She has never lived in a home before, so everything is new and sometimes a little overwhelming. But with each passing day, this sweet and sensitive girl is taking small, brave steps toward trust.

Now in foster care, Arina is showing her gentle and affectionate nature. She’s living with six other dogs and takes great comfort in their company, often curling up next to them on the sofa or following their lead in daily routines. Her new home must include a kind, resident dog who will offer companionship and help her continue to grow in confidence. She especially enjoys snuggling with gentle dogs, so one who’s happy to share their space would be ideal.

Though still cautious when approaching people, Arina is curious and wants to be near her humans. She quietly checks in and likes to know where you are, and it's touching to see her softening each day. She is currently walking well on a harness in quiet areas but can still find loud noises or unfamiliar surroundings a bit scary. A secure garden will be important for her, offering her a safe place to explore while she continues to build her courage.

A quiet home with older, dog-savvy children aged 12 and up could suit her, as long as they can be gentle and respectful of her need for space and time. She is clean overnight and has even discovered the fun of paddling in a doggy pool, which shows how far she’s come already.

Arina has some health needs to be aware of. She has a Grade 4 heart murmur, which will require regular vet check-ups. She also has some scarring on her left eye from a past ulcer, which may need monitoring for irritation or infection. At the time of her spay, she had ten teeth removed, so adopters should be mindful of her ongoing dental care. These conditions will be considered pre-existing andwon't not be covered by standard pet insurance policies.

Arina is a truly lovely dog with a calm and loyal nature. With patience, kindness, and the right canine friend by her side, she will become a devoted and gentle companion. If you have room in your heart for a dog who needs a little extra time and a lot of love, Arina could be the one to complete your family.

Arina's Diary

  • Arina is a sweet Cavachon who is currently in foster with 6 other dogs, and she does take comfort in them being around her and will sleep next to them on the sofa.  She likes to know where you are and will come and find you, although is still wary when approaching you, as ex breeders normally are.  She has been clean overnight since day 1 and appears to like to go paddling in our dog paddling pool
She walks well on a harness, but is still scared when she hears loud noises when out of the comfort of her home surroundings.  As she is still quite wary, I would suggest dog savvy children over the age of 12 years that aren't too noisy would be ok in her forever home, however a resident dog is a must.  She loves to snuggle up with our Puggle or Shih Tzu, so a dog who will allow her to do this would be best.

  • Arina is a tender-hearted girl who has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for a special home where she can truly blossom. She is a sweet, quiet soul with a gentle temperament and just needs a little time, patience, and love to reveal the happy lady we know is waiting inside.

At the moment, Arina is a bit hand-shy, but she is already beginning to trust and will gently take treats from your hand. Her progress, though slow and steady, is deeply touching to witness. She will need a calm and kind resident dog in her new home to help build her confidence and show her that the world is not such a scary place.

Arina doesn’t yet walk on a lead, but with the right support and encouragement, we believe she will be open to learning once she feels settled and safe. As she has never lived in a home, she will need a family who can kindly guide her as she learns about things like house training and the many new sights and sounds of indoor life.

She could be homed with older, dog-savvy teenagers (16+) who understand her background and are mature enough to give her the space and quiet she needs to adjust at her own pace. She has come to us with a Grade 4 heart murmur and will need regular check ups with the vets. She has ulcer scarring on her left eye that will need to be monitored for any irritation or conjunctivitis and has had 10 teeth removed at the time of her spay.

Arina has such a calm and loving nature and, in the right home, she will flourish into the most devoted and gentle companion. If you have the patience and heart to help her grow, she will reward you with a love like no other.
