Duffy – The Sweetest Soul You’ll Ever Meet

14-05-25 Duffy is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. Gentle, kind-hearted, and full of quiet charm, he truly is the picture of a perfect little dog.

Duffy was abandoned at Ad Lancram Kill Shelter in Romania, but thankfully rescued by a compassionate German rescuer. Sadly, she passed away last year, and with no one else to advocate for him, we took over his care to ensure he wouldn’t be forgotten. He had already been in foster care in Romania for around two years, no one quite knows where he came from, but everyone who’s met him agrees: he’s something special.

Duffy is a calm, sweet-natured boy who thrives in gentle, quieter environments. He gets along beautifully with everyone he meets, both people and dogs alike, and his soft, coy nature makes him endlessly endearing. He even once gave up his own bowl of food to a kennel mate, just to make sure they didn’t go hungry. That’s the kind of soul Duffy is.

He walks well on a lead and would really enjoy peaceful strolls with someone patient and kind. Duffy has lived in a home before and may already be house trained, though it’s possible he may have a few accidents at first as he adjusts to a new environment.

Now he’s ready for a forever home where he can finally find the love and stability he’s waited so patiently for. All the way from Romania, Duffy just wants to please. He asks for so little, just a warm home, a kind hand, and someone to love. Please don’t let this sweet boy keep waiting. Duffy is ready to be someone’s best friend for life.

Duffy has been tested for Brucella canis and returned a negative result.
