19-05-25 Mellow has come to us from a breeder and is an absolute heartbreaker. This dear girl is incredibly shut down and finds the world a very overwhelming place right now. She’s unsure of our intentions and is in desperate need of gentle reassurance, time, and love.

It’s heartbreaking to see how much she has physically endured by being bred from in such a short space of time, and she’s not even five years old yet. We can only imagine how much she has carried emotionally. Despite everything, Mellow is the most gentle and angelic soul, and she truly deserves the world.

Mellow would benefit enormously from and will need a kind, calm resident dog in her new home, someone who will respect her space, offer quiet companionship, and show her that life can be safe and kind.

She has never lived in a home before and will need an adult only home with patient adopters to help her gently learn about house training and walking on a lead. Long walks may feel too frightening for her at the moment, so a secure, good-sized garden would be ideal, giving her the freedom to explore and adjust to the outside world at her own pace.

Mellow has come to us overweight and will need a consistent healthy diet to help get her back to a comfortable weight.

This sweet girl has so much love to give, but she needs a quiet, understanding home where she can take her time and begin to heal. With kindness, patience, and support, Mellow will begin to blossom, and her transformation will be the most beautiful gift of all.
