  • Human family requirements

I need an adult-only home where I can feel safe and loved.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe but I haven’t met cats yet so I'm not sure

  • House and garden requirements

I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

Walks are too scary for me yet, maybe some slow garden sniffs will be a good start.

  • Training needs

Please be patient with me, I'm nervous and learning everything from scratch.

  • Medical issues

I have a bilateral entropion that is being assessed by the vets.

19-05-25 Glint is a stunning girl who has come to us from a breeder, and like many Chows, she carries that distinct, independent spirit. She may not rush over to greet you straight away as trust takes time for her, but with patience and kindness, she slowly begins to let her guard down and reveal the sweet, sensitive soul within.

It’s clear that Glint wants to trust. You can see the yearning in her eyes to connect, to relax, and to be loved. With the right support and a gentle approach, she will blossom into the dog she was always meant to be. Glint will need a calm adult only home where she can gain confidence at her own pace.

Glint will need a calm, confident resident dog in her forever home, a canine friend to guide her, show her the ropes of home life, and give her the encouragement she needs to grow in confidence. She’s never lived in a home before, so everything will be new to her: the sounds, the routines, the rules and she’ll rely on her adopters to be understanding as she learns.

At the moment, walks may feel a little too scary for Glint, but access to a secure garden where she can explore at her own pace would be a wonderful first step. Just being able to sniff, observe, and gently get used to the world will help her start her journey.

Glint has come to us with a bilateral entropion which will be assessed by the vets for further action.

Underneath her worries, Glint is a gentle, beautiful girl who is trying her best to trust and shine. With time, love, and patience, we know she will.

Glint has been given the Gift of Life by Suzanne Morris
