  • Human family requirements

I need a calm and quiet, adult only home where I can settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I will need a kind resident dog to take me under their wing. I have never met cats.

  • House and garden requirements

I would like a secure garden to spend time in.

  • Out and about requirements

I haven't tried walks just yet and will find this a bit overwhelming at the moment.

  • Training needs

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

  • Medical issues

I will be spayed before finding my forever home.

Ramble is a beautiful girl who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. Right now, she is a very frightened little soul whose first instinct is to run and hide when approached. Life so far hasn’t shown her much kindness, and she’s unsure of the world around her.

Once safely in your arms, Ramble does begin to settle, and with lots of gentle reassurance, we know she has the potential to blossom. She will need a calm and quiet, adult only home with adopters who can offer her time, patience, and most importantly, love. Ramble would benefit greatly from adopters with experience of caring for scared ex-breeding dogs, who can help her take those first brave steps toward trust.

Ramble relies heavily on other dogs for comfort and guidance, so she will absolutely need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing. Having a doggy friend to show her the ropes will help her feel secure and supported as she adjusts to her new life.

She has never lived in a home before, so everything will be new and possibly overwhelming at first. She’ll need kind and understanding adopters to help her learn all about home life, including house training and lead walking. She is not ready to learn about walks just yet and will need to begin her lead training gently and safely in the garden first while she gains confidence.

Ramble recently had a grooming session and, despite her nerves, showed great bravery and was visibly happier afterward. She’s still unsure about being picked up but is beginning to enjoy gentle interaction and even took treats from a hand.

With the right support, we truly believe she will come to know that the world can be a kind and loving place. If you have the heart and home to help her heal, she will reward you with her quiet courage and the joy of watching her transformation.

Ramble has an overshot jaw but this doesn't effect her. She has a travel document.

Ramble's Diary

  • What a difference a groom makes! Ramble was such a brave girl today for our volunteer groomer Julie! She did very well through it all but wasn’t too fussed on a face trim but Julie worked her magic and Ramble now looks like a different dog!

She is still nervous of being picked up, but with a little patience and a slow pace she allowed me to scoop her up to take her for her groom. I could see that this made her a much happier girl as she was bouncing around the yard with her friends upon returning. I sat with Ramble and her kennel friends with a packet of treats, which made her super excited! Again, she was a little nervous but she managed to take a few from my hand.

A confident, kind resident dog will be needed to help Ramble settle into home life. Children would be too much for her at this time so an adult only home would be best.
