23-05-25 Sweet Peacock has come to us from a breeder in search of a forever home to call her own. She’s an older girl, and it’s clear that life has not been kind to her so far and she is in desperate need of love and TLC.

Peacock has a chronic condition known as Westie Lung. She has been assessed by our vets and has started medication to help manage her symptoms, as she does show some signs of abnormal breathing. Sadly there is no cure for this condition, so Peacock will be looking for understanding adopters who will be committed to her ongoing care and comfort for however long she may have left. Peacock has also arrived with sore skin covered in scabs and an ear infection which is being treated. This darling girl has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure and it's finally time for her to experience the love she should have known all along.

Despite everything, Peacock remains gentle and shy. She is a quiet soul just beginning to learn what it feels like to be safe and cared for. What she needs now more than anything is love, patience, and a calm retirement home where she can finally rest and heal.

Peacock is looking for a special someone who will give her the love and kindness she needs to come out of her shell. She doesn't like to share her space with other dogs and so would like to be the only dog in her new home, where she can soak up all the attention and feel secure. Her ideal adopters will have plenty of time to spend with her and will help her gently adjust to a new world she’s never known, one with warm beds, kind voices, and a safe place to call home.

It’s likely Peacock has never lived in a home before, so her new family must be understanding as she learns about home life and starts to pick up skills like house training and walking on a lead. With time, love, and kindness, we know this lovely girl has the potential to blossom into the happy little dog she was always meant to be.

If you have a quiet space in your home and a big space in your heart, please consider giving Peacock the second chance she so deeply deserves.
