24-05-25 Pickle is a sweet, older gentleman who has come to us from a breeder in the hope of finding the loving retirement home he so truly deserves. Life has changed very suddenly for Pickle, and he is currently feeling very overwhelmed and worried to find himself here. He tries his best to run and hide from the unfamiliar world around him, which breaks our hearts, but also makes us even more determined to find him a quiet, understanding home where he can finally feel safe.

This dear boy will need a calm and quiet, adult only home with patient adopters who will give him all the time and gentle encouragement he needs to begin to trust. He would benefit from adopters with experience of ex-breeding dogs.

Pickle will need at least one other kind and gentle resident dog in his new home who will take him under their wing and reassure him that everything will be ok.

He has never lived in a home before, so everything will be brand new to him. He’ll need to learn all about house training and the sights and sounds of home life. He will also need to learn how to walk on a lead, first practicing in the garden until he begins to feel more confident.

Pickle is a senior gentleman, just beginning his journey to a better life. He’s never known what it’s like to be truly loved before.. could you be the one to show him?

Pickle has arrived with cataracts in both eyes and is also missing all of his teeth so will need a soft food diet.
