28-05-25 Goldie has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a very scared and worried little girl who is not used to love or kindness, and at the moment, being handled is incredibly frightening for her. She does her best to avoid human contact, simply because the world feels like a very overwhelming place right now.

Goldie is looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs. She will need an understanding environment where she can settle in slowly and gently at her own pace, without pressure or expectation.

Goldie will do her very best to run away from you at the moment, so a very secure garden is absolutely essential. Goldie will also need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing and show her that humans can be trusted. Her canine friend will play a vital role in helping her feel settled and supported.

Goldie has never lived in a home before, so everything will be new and overwhelming at first. Her adopters will need to be very patient as she learns about house training and adjusts to the sounds and routines of home life, and begins to understand what it means to be loved. Goldie has also never walked on a lead before, so her training will need to begin gently in the safety of the garden while she gains confidence.

Goldie is not a dog who will come out of her shell overnight, but for the right person, the journey with her will be incredibly rewarding. Watching her reach milestones, like taking a treat from your hand or wagging her tail for the very first time, will be moments you’ll never forget.

She has a long road ahead, but with time, patience, and love, we believe Goldie will begin to heal and discover the joy of being part of a family.

Goldie has a mammary lump which our vets will take a look at at the time of her spay. She also has some slightly sore eyes with some discharge which our vets are monitoring.
