I will need a kind resident dog to take me under their wing. I have never met cats.

I would like a secure garden to spend time in.

  • Out and about requirements

I haven't tried walks just yet and will find this a bit overwhelming at the moment.

  • Training needs

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

  • Medical issues

I will be spayed before finding my forever home.

29-05-25 Joy is a sensitive girl who has come to us from a breeder to find the love and safety of her forever home. Understandably, she is feeling very overwhelmed right now and is a worried soul who doesn’t yet understand that the world can be a kind and gentle place.

At the moment, Joy finds human touch quite frightening and it’s clear she hasn’t experienced much kindness in her past. She will need a calm and quiet, adult only home, where her adopters can give her the time, space, and patience she needs to begin to trust. A home with experience of scared ex-breeding dogs would be ideal.

Despite her worries, we are already seeing tiny glimmers of progress. Joy has started to enjoy playtime in the yard, which is absolutely wonderful to witness. These moments of happiness show that with the right support, her true personality will begin to shine through.

Joy will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help guide her and offer reassurance. Having a canine friend will make a big difference in helping her feel safe and showing her that human hands can bring love and comfort.

She has never lived in a home before, so her adopters must be kind and understanding as she learns all about home life and new skills like house training. Joy has also never walked on a lead before and will need to begin her training in a secure garden, building confidence at her own pace before she's ready to venture further.

Joy’s journey will take time, but with love, patience, and gentle encouragement, we believe she will blossom into a wonderful companion. If you have the heart to help this lovely girl find her courage, Joy could be the most rewarding addition to your life.
