Jive

30-05-25 Jive has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a very scared little girl who is currently feeling completely overwhelmed by her new surroundings. Life so far hasn’t shown her much kindness and she is very nervous about being handled as she’s simply not used to gentle, loving hands.
Jive will need a calm and quiet, adult only home with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and understand the time, patience, and compassion it takes to help a dog like Jive begin to trust and feel safe.
It is essential that Jive’s new home has at least one kind and confident resident dog who can be a friend and role model, helping her to settle in and showing her that life as a much loved pet can be wonderful. She will take great comfort from the presence of another dog and will need their guidance as she finds her feet.
As Jive has never lived in a home before, everything will be new to her and quite scary at first. She will need adopters who can gently help her learn house training, get used to the sights and sounds of home life, and most importantly, feel secure and loved.
Jive does not know how to walk on a lead yet and currently finds the idea very overwhelming. This will need to be introduced slowly and only when she is ready, starting with gentle practice in a secure garden. A secure garden is essential, as Jive is a flight risk and may panic when frightened.
Jive is a sensitive soul who has so much potential, and with the right support, she will begin to feel safe and loved. If you have a quiet, experienced home with a kind doggy companion and lots of patience and love to offer, please consider giving Jive the chance she so desperately needs.
