Yodle

01-06-25 Yodle has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is currently feeling very overwhelmed by everything around her and is a very scared little girl. Yodle isn’t brave enough to approach us on her own, but if you sit quietly and give her space, she will sometimes peep her little head up and watch you curiously from a distance. She isn't used to being handled and finds this very worrying, but she does allow us to gently pick her up.
Yodle will need a calm and quiet, adult only home with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and who will take things slowly at her pace, never rushing her but instead offering steady reassurance.
Yodle gets great comfort from her kennel friends and cuddles in close to them for safety, so she will need a home where there is at least one other kind and confident resident dog to be her friend and who will allow her to snuggle up to them and offer her reassurance as she settles into her new life.
Yodle has never lived in a home before and so she will need lots of gentle support as she learns all about home life and new skills like house training. This will be unfamiliar and possibly frightening at first so her adopters will need to be kind and patient as she adjusts.
She hasn’t walked on a lead yet and will need to begin practicing in a secure garden when she’s feeling a little braver. She can be easily spooked, so a very secure garden is essential to help keep her safe as she builds her confidence.
Yodle is a sensitive and gentle girl with a truly sweet nature that’s just waiting to shine through. With time, patience, and lots of TLC, she will start to blossom into a loyal and loving companion. If you can offer Yodle the calm, experienced home she needs, along with a kind doggy friend to lean on, please consider giving her the second chance she so dearly deserves.
Yodle is a little underweight at the moment, but with good nutrition and loving care, she should begin to fill out.
