05-06-25 This handsome boy is Gizmo, affectionately known as Gizzy. Gizmo has found himself in our care after his beloved owner sadly passed away, and it's clear that he's feeling a bit lost and overwhelmed in kennels right now. Life has changed so suddenly for him, and he’s understandably a little unsure of his surroundings.

Gizmo is the sweetest boy with so much love to give. He's initially wary of new people, but once he’s had the chance to get to know you, he just wants to be as close to you as possible, often climbing into your lap for comfort and reassurance.

Gizmo has always lived with other dogs and is happiest with canine company, especially gentle female dogs. He isn't comfortable sharing his space with male dogs, so any dogs in his new home would need to be female. We believe Gizmo could live with kind, dog savvy teenagers who will give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. He just needs a calm, understanding family who will let him settle in his own time, and in return he’ll be the most devoted little companion.

Gizmo is full of quirky charm! He adores his people, is a fan of Benebones, loves snuggling under blankets, and is always ready for a good chew session with a soft toy (although they rarely survive long!). Food is another of his great loves, he’s not a fussy eater and will happily munch on just about anything. He has lived in a home before so should be house trained, but may need some reminders as he settles in to his new home.

Gizmo is a sweet soul who is desperate to be back in a home as soon as possible.
