Tessa

08-06-25 Tessa has come to us from a breeder and is a very frightened little girl who is still learning that humans can be kind. When approached, she will try to scrabble away out of fear, but once she is gently scooped into your arms, she becomes much easier to handle and shows how much she wants to feel safe.
Though scared, Tessa is also curious, she will quietly sniff and investigate you, which is a lovely sign that there’s a brave heart tucked inside, waiting to come out. She will need a calm and patient home with a kind and confident resident dog who can help guide her through this big, new world and offer the reassurance she so desperately needs.
As Tessa has never lived in a home before, everything will be new to her. She’ll need understanding adopters who can gently help her learn about house training, home life, and the joys of being a beloved pet. Lead-walking will also be something she learns slowly, and starting with sniffy explorations in a secure garden would be the perfect first step.
Tessa could live with older, quiet children who understand she needs space and time to build her confidence at her own pace. Once she knows she is safe and loved, we have no doubt this special little girl will begin to flourish.
Tessa has come to us with an inguinal hernia that will be repaired at the time of her spay. If you can offer Tessa the gentle guidance and loving home she needs, she will repay you with her trust and the quiet beauty of watching her bloom.
