  • Human family requirements

I love people and can live with dog savvy teenagers.

  • Other pet requirements

I would prefer to be the only dog in the house where all of the attention is on me.

  • House and garden requirements

I love my time in the play yard, so would love a good size garden to run and play in.

  • Out and about requirements

I can walk well on a lead and would love an active home.

  • Training needs

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

08-06-25 Maple came to us from a breeder in search of the love and safety of a forever home. She was briefly adopted, but sadly returned as she displayed some behaviours in the home that we were unaware of. She began to show some food-related behaviour towards the resident dog in the home. Because of this, we now feel she would be happiest and most comfortable as the only pet in the home, where she can fully relax and enjoy her meals and toys without worry.

Her previous adopters told us that Maple is an absolute joy to have around, she adores tennis balls, and her favourite pastime is playing fetch, which she could do all day if given the chance! At home, she’s a confident and loving lady, always up for snuggles and never far from the sofa (she’s a self-confessed couch potato!). Out and about, she’s much more submissive on the lead and in public, taking everything in with quiet curiosity. She loves people, soft toys (though she’s been known to un-stuff a few!), and most of all, just being close to her humans.

Although she’s never lived in a home before, Maple is clever and eager to please, and she’ll learn quickly with gentle guidance, patience, and lots of positive reinforcement. We think she would suit a home with dog-savvy teenagers who can help make her feel loved and included.

She has been tested with cats and seems to pay them no mind, but due to the behaviours shown around food, we feel she would thrive best in a pet-free home where all the attention, and snacks!, are just for her.

Maple is such a special girl, loyal, loving, and full of life. All she needs now is a family who will commit to her and give her the second chance she so deeply deserves. If you’re looking for a joyful companion to brighten your days, Maple might just be the one.

Maple has a travel document.
