GEORGE NEEDS TO BE HOMED WITH POPPY

11-06-25 Gentle George has come to us with his best friend Poppy after their beloved owner sadly passed away. These two beautiful souls are heartbroken to have lost their owner and it's clear just how loved and cherished they have been. George and Poppy adore each other and so it's essential that they are homed together so they can have comfort in each other.

George is an affectionate boy with a gentle heart and a truly intuitive nature. His owners family mentioned that he always knew when someone was feeling low and would quietly sit beside them, offering comfort in his calm and loving way. It’s now his turn to be on the receiving end of that kindness.

Despite being 10 years old, George is still full of life and playful energy. He enjoys his walks, loves an adventure and is happiest when he’s with people who will give him plenty of attention, cuddles, and fuss. He is house trained, walks well on a lead and is sociable with other dogs. However, he and Poppy cannot live with cats, as Poppy has a bit too much interest in chasing them!

George is good with children and though he would likely prefer a calm and quiet home, visiting children would be fine. What he and Poppy need most is a loving home where they can feel safe, cherished, and part of a family again.

George and Poppy have had their world turned upside down and they are longing to feel secure and loved once more. If you have a heart big enough for two, they will repay you tenfold with love, loyalty, and endless tail wags.

George has been assessed by our vets who noted his eye lenses are opaque and will need to be monitored for cataracts, but this doesn't slow him down.
