17-06-25 Bonnie has come to us through no fault of her own, after her beloved owner sadly moved into care. She has spent the majority of her life in a home where she was deeply loved and doted on, and we’re now hoping to find her a new family who can offer her that same comfort and devotion.

Bonnie is very much a homebody. Her previous owner shared that she rarely left the house apart from short walks and occasional trips to the groomers. Because of this, Bonnie may experience some separation anxiety and will need a calm, patient home where someone is around for most of the day and can help her adjust gently to life without her person.

She hasn’t been overly socialised with other dogs, but here at the rescue she’s interacting well and showing us she can live alongside a kind, calm resident dog, especially one who will give her a little time to learn how to share her space.

Since Bonnie has lived in a home, she does understand the rules of the house but she may have a few accidents as she settles in.

Bonnie’s favourite pastime is sleeping, and she’s now dreaming of a warm, soft sofa to curl up on as she enters her retirement years. Her previous owner did admit she’s been a little bit spoiled, she’s been known to become a tad vocal if she thinks you might be persuaded to share your dinner or if she’s not quite the centre of attention!

She could live with older, dog-savvy children who will understand her little quirks and give her the gentle space she needs. Bonnie is a sweet, cheeky girl with so much love to give, and we can’t wait to see her back in a home where she truly belongs.

Bonnie is currently being assessed by our vets for Heart Arrythmia and has had a lump removed from her head at the time of her spay.
