Doug is a very special little pug who has come to us from a dog pound, and what a lovely boy he is. Despite his uncertain start, Doug has shown himself to be a gentle, friendly, and loving companion who’s now ready to find his forever family. Doug has the confidence to be homed as an only dog but can get attached quite quickly to his person so he would love for his adopters to be around most of the time if he were to be an only dog.

Upon arrival, Doug found himself immediately in foster where he is fantastic with other dogs and has also been very calm and respectful around cats, sheep, horses, and chickens, making him an excellent choice for a home with other animals. He appears to be housetrained and sleeps soundly through the night, making life that little bit easier for his new family.

He walks beautifully on a harness and loves to go out and explore, but is equally happy cuddled up for some attention. True to his breed, Doug is affectionate, sweet-natured, and just wants to be loved.

Doug would make a wonderful addition to a loving home. We are told he is good with children, so whether it’s a busy family environment or a quieter household with lots of snuggles and companionship, he should slot in nicely. He really is a good all-rounder and just wants to be part of someone’s world.

Doug has come to us with some swelling on his paw due to overgrown nails but this hasn't limited his mobility.
