19-06-25 Duggie has come to us from a home and is ready to find his forever family. He was taken in as a rescue by a lovely family who tried their best with him, but he struggled to settle with the children in the home and so his family felt like it would be in his best interests to find him a a child-free home.

Duggie is a sweet and gentle soul who is feeling quite overwhelmed at the moment. He’s in need of lots of love, patience and TLC to help him feel safe and secure. He’ll be looking for a calm and quiet, adult-only home where he can settle in at his own pace and begin to build his confidence.

One thing that has brought Duggie real comfort here is the company of other dogs. He’s absolutely loving meeting the other dogs at the rescue and already seems to be drawing reassurance from their presence. Because of this, Duggie will need a home where there is already a kind, resident dog who can be his friend and take him under their wing.

Duggie has previously lived in a home, so he has some understanding of home life. We’re told he is using puppy pads, but his housetraining is still a work in progress. He will also need gentle guidance when learning to walk on a lead. With time, kindness, and consistency, Duggie is sure to flourish into a loyal and loving companion.
