20-06-25 Sweet Maple has found herself in rescue through no fault of her own. She came from a home where she had always lived, but when she developed a painful bladder stone that required surgery, her family couldn’t afford the treatment. Maple was then handed over to us, confused, unwell, and suddenly without the only life she had ever known.
Since arriving, Maple has bravely undergone surgery to remove the bladder stone and is now recovering well. She has also had a nasal wedge resection to help with her breathing. She’s slowly starting to return to her bright, cheerful self, but the sadness in her eyes tells you everything. She doesn’t understand why she’s here. She doesn't understand why the life she loved simply disappeared.
Despite all this, Maple has been nothing but gentle and kind. She’s a lovely house dog, clean indoors, quiet, good on a lead, and according to her previous owner, she is fine with children and other dogs. She’s used to home comforts and short spells on her own, and you can tell she’s just waiting for someone to offer her the security she’s lost.
Maple didn’t choose this path, but she’s walking it with quiet dignity. What she needs now is a soft-hearted family to see past her recent heartache and offer her the home she so deeply misses. Please don’t let her wait too long. Maple deserves a second chance at love.
