NARA IS LOOKING FOR A HOME WITH HER FRIEND NAVY
24-06-25 Nara is a sweet and gentle Dachshund who is looking for a loving forever home together with her best friend Navy. These two lovely girls have spent the last year living together and are very bonded, so they must be adopted as a pair. The duo were adopted by a family, but sadly, through absolutely no fault of their own, they have come back into our care after their adopter experienced health issues and could no longer care for them.
Nara is the shyer of the two but is a kind, gentle soul who is okay to be handled, picked up, and stroked. She finds new people and environments quite overwhelming at the moment, patient adopters who can gently build her confidence at her own pace.
Nara walks well on a lead, although she may need some gentle introductions to walks in her new home as she settles in and takes things at her own pace, a few sniffs around the garden would be a good start. Although she has lived in a home, she is not house trained and will need her adopter to be kind as she continues to learn this skill. She’s also carrying a bit too much weight at the moment, so her new family will need to help her work towards a healthy, active lifestyle, always with kindness and care.
One thing to note is that Nara is a bit of a climber, so her home and garden will need to be secure and Dachshund-proofed to keep her safe.
Despite her worries, Nara is a truly lovely, sweet, and gentle girl who, with the right home, will blossom alongside Navy and become a cherished part of her new family. With time, love, and patience, Nara will grow in confidence and show just how special she is.
