Raisin

27-06-25 Raisin has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a very sweet little girl who is feeling a bit overwhelmed and nervous at the moment. She isn’t quite brave enough to approach on her own just yet, but once she is gently picked up and in your arms, she is easy to handle.
Raisin relies heavily on the company of other dogs for comfort and reassurance, so she will need a calm and understanding home with at least one other kind and confident resident dog who can be her friend and help her adjust to her new life.
She has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be patient and kind as she learns all about home life and new skills like house training. Raisin will also need gentle encouragement as she begins to learn to walk on a lead, ideally starting in a secure garden where she feels safe.
Our vet has noted that Raisin has Horner’s Syndrome, which is causing some drooping around her eyes. This will be assessed further to make sure she receives any care she needs. She also has Grade 2 luxating patellas on her right hind limb. This may improve over time with gentle exercise and as she builds muscle, but it may need further investigation or treatment in the future. Potential adopters should be aware that this would not be covered by insurance. She has had several teeth extracted at the time of her spay.
Raisin is such a dear little soul with so much love to give. With time, patience and the reassurance of a kind resident dog, she will blossom into the most wonderful girl, so please don't leave her waiting.
