Zorilla has come such a long way from the shut-down little girl who first arrived with us. Originally very frightened of people, she’s grown into a cheeky, affectionate, and lovable little soul once she feels safe. In the beginning, she was too scared to be handled and would let you know when she was overwhelmed—but with patience, kindness, and a steady routine, she’s now happily snuggling on the sofa and greeting her fosterer with the most joyful, wiggly happy dance each morning.

She’s doing incredibly well in her foster home—she’s almost fully housetrained and will take herself outside when the door is open. She’s also making good strides with lead walking and has fantastic recall in a secure field. Zorilla has even met the cat in her foster home and didn’t bat an eyelid, so she could potentially live with a confident cat with slow introductions.

Zorilla still needs a calm, adult-only home with adopters who understand she may need time to trust—and may show her "spicy" side again in the early days of settling in. But once she’s bonded, she’ll be your shadow, your cuddle bug, and your little best friend. She is happiest with other dogs and absolutely adores her best friend Zenarda. These two are completely bonded, and we’re looking for a special home where they can stay together.

Zorilla’s transformation has been amazing to witness, and with the right home, we know she’ll continue to thrive. She has so much love to give and truly deserves the peaceful, happy life she's learning to enjoy.
