When you go into the kennel with Beluga, she’s friendly and happy to see you. I took her for a walk on her own to see how she’d manage as a solo dog, but it was clear she wouldn’t cope. Beluga draws her confidence from the two confident dogs she’s kennelled with, and really needs the support of another dog around her.
She’s now quite happy to accept attention from people she knows, and she’s starting to come out of her shell. Beluga is a petite husky, so she won’t take up much space in your home, but she’ll fill it with her gentle, quiet presence.
She’s easy to lead, easy to care for, and has no behavioural issues. We suspect the reason she’s stayed with us this long is simply because she’s a husky, but she truly is a lovely, affectionate girl who just needs the right home, ideally with a confident canine companion to guide her.
