Sorbet Is Starting to Trust

Sorbet is a 4-year-old Pomeranian who has come to us from a breeder to begin her new life. Like many dogs from this background, she had never lived in a home before and arrived feeling very shut down and overwhelmed. But with gentle care and the reassuring company of her kennel friends, this beautiful little fluffball is starting to find her feet and show glimmers of the playful, loving companion she is destined to become.

Sorbet is the kind of dog who truly wants to be brave and engage with people, even if her worried side sometimes gets the better of her. She has come such a long way already, from being too scared to eat at first, to now doing joyful little spins when her dinner arrives. She even gets the silliest zoomies out in the yard when she thinks no one’s watching.

Although still nervous, Sorbet is quite easy to handle. She will approach you, lick your fingers, and let you stroke her. Sometimes, when the fussing stops, she’ll even offer a little play bow, asking for more in her own gentle way. These tender moments show how much potential she has to blossom in the right home.

Sorbet must be rehomed with at least one kind and fairly confident resident dog, as she leans heavily on her canine friends for reassurance. Her doggy companion will play a vital role in helping her continue to learn about life in a home, including house training and walking on a lead when she’s ready.

A quiet, adult-only home or one with calm, dog-savvy teenagers who respect her need for space would suit her best. Sorbet will need patient adopters who understand that trust takes time, and that she may not warm up immediately. But for those with the heart to walk at her pace, she’ll offer the quiet joy of watching a shy soul slowly bloom.

Sorbet is already starting to show glimpses of her silly, affectionate side. With kindness, time, and the steady presence of a confident dog friend, this lovely girl has every chance to grow into the happy companion she longs to be.
