She is still nervous when you enter the kennel but once she lays down and you approach her she does enjoy the fuss and attention even with a little cautious eye
Marrow is very easy to handle and despite her fears is completely fine once you make contact
Marrow hasn’t enjoyed home comforts just yet and would require a kind resident dog in the home to show her the ropes and to also show her that humans are ok
Marrow hasn’t mastered walking on a lead yet so will need a little patience and calm encouragement with a harness
Marrow is a very special little lady who deserves the world

Marrow

A Gentle Flower Waiting to Bloom
Marrow is a 4-year-old Shih Tzu cross who has come to us from a breeder. This very special little lady is timid and overwhelmed by the big changes in her life, but she has such a gentle nature that shines through even in her most nervous moments. Marrow spends most of her time in her bed and needs to be carried to and from the play yard, as she’s still too worried to make those steps on her own. Despite her fears, she is very easy to handle and allows herself to be picked up with no fuss.
Marrow will need a calm and quiet adult-only home with adopters who understand the needs of scared ex-breeding dogs. She must be rehomed with at least one kind and confident resident dog who can help her feel safe and guide her as she learns about life beyond the kennel. We’ve been told she needs to be homed with dogs larger than herself she’s only around 5kg because she’s less comfortable around dogs her own size or smaller. She is currently sharing her space with Cockapoos and is very at ease in their company.
Having never lived in a home before, Marrow will need patient and understanding adopters who can help her learn about house training, the sounds and routines of home life, and gradually introduce her to wearing a harness and walking on a lead. She’s not quite ready to enjoy outdoor adventures just yet, but with encouragement and time, she’ll begin to build her confidence.
In the kennel, she’s still shy when someone enters, but once she lies down and you approach gently, she accepts affection and enjoys a fuss, even if she watches you with a cautious eye. Marrow is one of those dogs who, once she learns to trust, will form a deep and touching bond with the people who give her that chance.
Marrow is a delicate little soul who deserves the world. If you can offer her the peace, love, and patience she needs to blossom into the happy companion she was always meant to be, she might just be the perfect match for you.
Marrow's Diary

-
This lovely little girl is Marrow and she has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a very timid girl at the moment, who is completely bewildered to find herself here. She will stay in her bed all day and has to be carried to and from the play yard as she is just too worried to take herself there. Despite her fears, she is easy to handle and allows us to pick her up.
Marrow will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home and would benefit from adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and will allow her to settle in at her own pace. She will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to be her friend and take her under their wing. We have been told by her breeder that she gets on better with dogs larger than her, so she is currently kenneled with Cockapoos and gets on really well with them. For this reason any dog in her new home would need to be a little larger than her.
Marrow has never lived in a home before and so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life as well as new skills like house training. She has never worn a harness or walked on a lead and so her adopters will need to introduce this to her gradually, first around the home and garden until she has the confidence to venture outside. Marrow is a very sweet girl who is in desperate need of lots of love and kindness. With patience and TLC she will start to settle in and grow in confidence and will blossom into the most wonderful girl.
