  • Human family requirements

I need a quiet home where I won’t be overwhelmed while I settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a doggy friend in my new home. I've never met cats so I'm unsure!

  • House and garden requirements

I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

Walks are too scary for me yet, maybe some slow garden sniffs will be a good start.

  • Training needs

I’ve never lived in a home, so I need to learn housetraining and lead walking.

  • Medical issues

I am missing a lot of teeth and will need soft food in my diet.

A Gentle Tune Waiting to Be Heard

Music is a 7-year-old Miniature Poodle who has come to us from a breeder. This sweet and sensitive boy has never lived in a home before and is now searching for a calm, understanding adopter to help him begin his next chapter. Music is shy when approached and anxious about being touched, so he will need a patient and gentle adult-only home where he can settle at his own pace.

Over the past week, Music has begun to show wonderful signs of progress. He’s started taking treats from our hands and even gives a gentle nudge when he’s hoping for more. These little moments are a beautiful reminder of the loving companion he is becoming. With slow and steady movements, he now accepts gentle fuss and will allow himself to be picked up. As with many ex-breeding dogs, he can be spooked by sudden noises or fast movements, so a peaceful home is essential.

Music must be rehomed with at least one kind and confident resident dog who can help him learn the ropes of house training, walking on a lead, and navigating life outside the kennel. He finds comfort and confidence in the company of calm doggy friends and will thrive with their support.

Our vets have noted that Music is missing many of his teeth, including most of his top front ones. This means he will need a soft diet to keep him comfortable when eating.

Music was recently groomed by one of our lovely volunteers and was a very good boy for his pamper session. If you can offer this gentle soul a quiet home full of love and kindness, Music may just reward you with the softest, sweetest melody of trust and companionship.

Music's Diary

  • Sweet music has progressed with confidence in the last week or so and before I knew it was munching away at treats from my hands. Whilst trying to share with the others he decided a gentle nudge would encourage me to feed him more! Treats are definitely the way to his heart. He accepts small fusses and if slow and steady he will allow you to pick him up. As for any ex-breeder, fast movements do spook him and loud noises so a calm adult only home would be best suited for this gentle boy. He was groomed by the wonderful Julie our volunteer today and said he was such a good boy for her!

Music will need a kind resident dog in the household so he can learn the ropes of living within a home

  • Music is a handsome little guy that has come to us from a breeder. Music can be a bit timid at first and tends to shy away when approached, and he can be a bit touch sensitive, meaning he needs a patient hand and a calm home to accept him as he continues to learn and grow. Music will blossom in a quiet, loving environment where gentle encouragements is the norm.

Music is a sweet and inquisitive soul who is a bit worried and reserved. With time, patience and understanding, he is sure to reveal his charming personality! He'll benefit from having calm and kind doggy friends around to learn the ropes of house training and how to walk on a lead, so he is looking for adopters who are willing to invest a little extra love and guidance.

Music has come to us missing a lot of his teeth and most of the top front teeth are gone. This will be assessed by the vets further and he will need a soft diet to help him cope. Are you looking for a companion who appreciates a nurturing, quiet home, that will reward you with loyalty and love? Well if that sounds like Music to your ears, then Music may just be the one for you!
