I’m so proud of Royal, this boy has come on tremendously since arriving at Many Tears. From arriving a terrified dog and very unsure of us humans, he has now slowly but surly begun to trust us and realise we are not so bad, especially when we arrive with cheesy treats. Royal loves food, toys and being outside in our yards. He has just begun harnesses training ready to begin lead walking. At the moment he is not so keen on lead walking but he has taken a few tentative steps and with the help of some squeezy cheese and possibly a confident doggie friend to follow I think it won’t be long before he can begin to enjoy exploring the world. Royals adopters will need to understand he is still very wary and unsure of his environment and he is going to need plenty of time, love and patience to trust his humans, but in the right home and given time I think this boy is going to be a big, playful and lovable boy. Royal will need a home where there is already a resident dog.

Royal, a Brave Boy Slowly Learning to Trust
Royal is a 1-year-old Chow who has come to us from a breeder to find his special forever home. When he first arrived, Royal was very frightened of the world around him, especially when it came to being touched or handled by people. However, with gentle care and lots of patience from the team here, Royal has already made some lovely progress.
Each day, Royal is showing us little signs of trust. He now gets excited to see his kennel mum in the mornings and will wag his tail in greeting. He has also started to allow some gentle strokes once he feels safe, though he is still nervous and needs his humans to move slowly and carefully. Royal is now beginning his harness training and has taken his first tentative steps on a lead. While he remains unsure about walking on a lead for now, with time, tasty treats, and the reassurance of a confident doggy friend by his side, we are sure he will continue to build his confidence and begin to enjoy exploring the world around him.
Royal loves food, toys, and spending time outside in our yards. These positive experiences are helping him to relax and enjoy life a little more each day. However, he is still very wary of his environment and will need adopters who understand that his journey will take time. His new family must be experienced with nervous or fearful dogs and be willing to give him all the time, patience, and gentle encouragement he needs.
As Royal has never lived in a home before, everything will be new and potentially overwhelming at first. He will need a calm, quiet, adult-only home with no children, and he must have at least one kind, confident resident dog to help guide him and support his ongoing progress. His new canine friend will be an important role model for learning about house training, lead walking, and adjusting to home life.
Royal is a very special boy who, with time and understanding, has the potential to become a big, playful, and loving companion. Watching him learn to trust and enjoy life will be an incredibly rewarding experience for his forever family.

Royal is a very scared boy who has come to us from a breeder. She is especially scared when it comes to being touched by us humans but when you get him in the back of the kennel he will allow you to gently stroke him but he is uncomfortable with this. At the moment Royal could possibly make the wrong decision if handled incorrectly but this is purely through fear and he is already starting to make improvements. He will actually get excited to see his kennel mum in the mornings and will wag his tail but he’s not sure how to interact with her yet. Royal has never lived in a home so this is going to be completely overwhelming at first and he will definitely need at least one other dog in the home to help his confidence. This will help him with house training and lead walking but these are things that are going to take him time to learn as the garden may be as scary as the home at first. Royal will need a very calm and quiet home with no children either living there or visiting and adopters who have lots of experience with scared dogs. We think he’ll come out of his shell a lot more over time but Royal needs a lot of TLC, time and patience.
