A Packet of Love and Sunshine

Packet is a 6-year-old Foxhound who arrived from Ireland with her travel documentation and a heart full of love to share. She is a true gem of a dog, gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully easy-going, with a dash of cheeky charm that makes her utterly endearing.

From the moment you meet her, Packet is all about connection. She’ll gently wrap her long limbs around you for a cuddle and absolutely adores fuss and attention. She loves her walks and explores the world with enthusiasm, yet she’s also a calm, relaxed girl who’s just as happy sunbathing in the yard or quietly snoozing in the sunshine.

Packet is great with other dogs and could happily live with a kind canine companion, or she would be equally content as the only dog in the home—just as long as she gets the love and company she craves. She’s shown no reactivity around cats and is a gentle soul through and through.

She’s never lived in a home before, so she’ll need a little help with things like house training and adjusting to everyday life indoors. She’s doing her best to stay clean in kennels, and with a bit of patience and routine, we’re confident she’ll settle beautifully. Packet is food-motivated and eager to please, which will help with training and bonding. She’d likely enjoy learning a few fun tricks if it means earning extra treats!

Packet had a 2cm lump removed from her back leg at the time of her spay, and she has healed really well. Like many dogs her age, she also has a few small lumps and bumps that don’t bother her in the slightest.

Foxhounds are loyal, affectionate, and full of character. They do best with active families who understand their quirks or are willing to learn. If you’re looking for a loyal walking buddy, a gentle friend, and a daily dose of joy, Packet might just be your perfect match.

Packet is an absolute diamond who adores fuss & attention. She absolutely loves her walks but is also a super chilled lady.
She’s usually sunbathing, soaking up the sun when you get her from the yard. She may jump up on you slowly but only for a stroke on the head, she is so gentle.
Packet loves a treat so would be pretty keen on learning new tricks.
She also met a couple of cats today & didn’t show any reactive signs at all.
She is great on her walks & loves other dogs so could be an only dog or be homed with a kind resident dog as long as she gets lots of love & attention.
She tries her best to stay kennel clean but may just need a little patience settling into a home.

Packet is looking for an active home where she can enjoy regular walks and plenty of stimulation. She already walks nicely on a lead and loves exploring the world around her. She’s happy to live with other dogs or be your one and only, she’s not fussy, as long as she gets the love she deserves!

She has a tattoo in her right ear from her past life, and like many slightly older dogs, she has a couple of lumps and bumps that come with age, nothing that stops her from living her best life!

Foxhounds make wonderful pets, they’re loyal, affectionate, and incredibly endearing. But they do come with a few quirks, so Packet is best suited to someone with hound experience or someone open and eager to learn.
