Nell

09-07-25 Nell is a sweet and gentle girl who is still finding her confidence in the world. She relies on the presence of other dogs for reassurance, while she doesn't engage in play with them, she enjoys their quiet company and will often follow them around the home. For this reason, Nell will need to be rehomed with a kind, resident dog who can help her feel safe and supported.
She has a lovely, playful side that comes out when no one is watching, she enjoys playing with toys when she thinks she’s alone, which is a joy to see and a sign of how she’s starting to feel more comfortable. In the mornings, Nell gets excited to see her carers and will come over for affection, though she can still be a little unsure and nervous at times.
Nell is slightly hand-shy but is very easy to pick up and handle gently. She would be best suited to a calm and understanding home with dog-savvy children who can respect her need for space and help her build confidence in her own time.
Nell has never lived in a home before and may need help with new skills such as house training. She has learned to walk on a harness but may need continued encouragements and a gentle introduction to the outside world in her new home. With the right support, patience, and love, Nell will continue to grow into a happy, trusting companion. She’s a very special girl who just needs a kind-hearted family to help her feel safe and cherished.
Nell has undergone surgery for luxating patellas on both the right and left side. She has taken this journey and healing process in stride and has been wonderfully compliant throughout the process. She is now feeling better and healthier and is ready for her forever home.
