05-05-25 Wilbur is a sweet but very nervous girl who has come to us from a breeder to find the loving forever home she truly deserves. Life so far hasn’t given her much experience of the world, and as a result, she’s feeling quite unsure and overwhelmed.

Wilbur will need a calm and quiet, adult only home where she can settle in at her own pace. She will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog to be her companion and help guide her through this new chapter. Having another dog by her side will make all the difference as she gains confidence.

As Wilbur has never lived in a home before, she will need kind understanding as she learns all about house training and gets used to the sights and sounds of home life. She doesn't walk on a lead yet, so she’ll need to start by practicing in the garden, gently building up her trust and confidence.

This lovely girl will need lots of love, kindness, and reassurance to help her feel safe. With time and the right support, we believe Wilbur will begin to show her true personality and blossom into a happy and contented companion.

Wilbur has a Grade 1 heart murmur, she doesn't require any medication for this but it is something her adopter and their vet will need to monitor going forwards. She also has some dry skin which should clear up with good nutrition.
