Tilly

05-07-25 Tilly is a wonderful and delightful Collie who originally came to us from a breeder a few weeks ago and was quickly adopted, but sadly, due to a change in her adopters circumstances, she has found herself back in our care. Despite this sudden change, Tilly walked straight back into the rescue and greeted everyone with her usual happy enthusiasm.
Tilly absolutely adores people, both adults and children, so she could happily live with older, dog savvy children who will let her settle in at her own pace. She is confident enough to be the only dog in the home, but she would also enjoy the companionship of another kind and friendly dog.
When she first arrived, Tilly had never lived in a home before, but she adapted beautifully and we are told she is now fully house trained. In her next home, she may need a few reminders while she settles in. This shouldn't take her too long to pick up again as she’s a bright and clever girl who already knows sit, down, stay, and wait.
Tilly walks beautifully on the lead, has good recall, and absolutely loves going for walks, so an active home would suit her perfectly. We are told that her favourite game of all time is playing fetch with a ball.
Tilly is worried about loud noises, particularly fireworks, so she will need reassurance and a safe space during those times. At the moment, she is comfortable being left for up to an hour in a crate, so any time alone in her new home should be built up gradually.
If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate, and intelligent companion to share your adventures and your sofa Tilly will be the most loyal friend you could wish for.
