01-06-25 York has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. Although she is still young, York is a very scared girl who finds the world quite overwhelming right now. She is quite worried about people and isn't ready to trust just yet, and new experiences understandably leave her feeling unsure. But there’s a quiet softness in her eyes that speaks of hope - a little spark that shows she wants to feel safe and loved.

York is looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs. She will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog who can show her the ropes and help her adjust to life in a home.

York has never lived in a home before, so everything may feel overwhelming at first and she will need time and patience as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training.

She has also never walked on a lead, so she’ll need to begin practicing in a secure garden once she is feeling a little braver. Every small step will be a big achievement for her, and she’ll need a home where she is never rushed, only gently encouraged and consistently reassured.

This beautiful girl has so much potential, and in the right hands, she will slowly learn that the world isn’t as scary as she thinks. With love, kindness, and the guidance of a doggy friend, York will start to discover the joys of a life she’s never known and will start to blossom.
