A Cuddly Little Sweetheart Ready to Shine

Penny is a 6-year-old Dachshund who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. This little lady may have started off feeling unsure and overwhelmed, but she’s already blossoming in her foster home and showing what a truly lovely companion she’s going to be.

Penny had never lived in a home before arriving at Many Tears, so everything has been brand new for her. With the gentle guidance of her foster carers and the support of other friendly dogs, she’s making wonderful progress. She gets along beautifully with her canine companions and has made lots of new friends. She’ll need to be rehomed with at least one kind, confident resident dog to help continue building her confidence and show her the ropes.

Despite her earlier nerves, Penny is now enjoying cuddles and absolutely adores snuggling up on your lap. She’s full of character and is beginning to show her sweet, affectionate nature more each day. She’s also been out on walks and is doing brilliantly on the lead, taking it all in her stride.

Penny’s new adopters will need to help her continue learning about home life, including house training and gaining confidence with everyday routines. She would thrive in a calm and loving home, and we would consider rehoming her with older, dog-savvy teenagers who can be patient and gentle with her.

Penny has had 12 teeth removed during her spay, but this doesn’t slow her down in the slightest. She’s a joyful little dog with so much love to give, and she’s ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a family who will cherish her.

If you can offer Penny the safe, understanding home she deserves, she’ll reward you with a lifetime of love and cuddles.

Penny's Diary

  • Penny has settled in really well and is proving to be an absolute sweetheart. She gets on great with all the other dogs and has made lots of new friends. She loves to have cuddles and is happiest when she’s snuggled up on your lap, enjoying some one-on-one attention.

She is full of character and has a lovely, confident nature. She has been out on walks and is doing really well on the lead, she takes everything in her stride and seems to enjoy getting out and about. Penny is a joy to have around and is already showing what a wonderful little companion she will be.

  • Penny has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. This lovely little lady is feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the changes in her life at the moment. She’s a gentle soul who is a little worried around people right now, but despite her nerves, she is easy to handle and tries her best to be brave.

Penny will need a home with at least one other kind and confident resident dog who can be her friend and show her the ropes. A doggy companion will be a great comfort to her and will help her build her confidence as she learns to trust and settle into her new life. We would consider homing her with older, dog savvy teenagers.

As Penny has never lived in a home before, everything will be new and possibly a little scary for her at first. She will need patient and understanding adopters who can help her learn all about home life, including house training and how to walk on a lead.

With time, gentle guidance, and the support of a friendly dog, we’re sure that Penny will begin to blossom and come out of her shell. She’s a special girl who just needs a chance to shine.

If you think you could offer Penny the loving, calm home she needs, please don't leave her waiting. At the time of Penny's spay, she has had 12 teeth removed, but this does not slow her down.
