  • Human family requirements

I need a quiet home where I won’t be overwhelmed while I settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a doggy friend in my new home. I've never met cats so I'm unsure!

  • House and garden requirements

I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

I’d enjoy quiet walks once I have settled in!

  • Training needs

I walk well on the lead but will need help with housetraining.

  • Medical issues

I have an inguinal hernia that will be repaired at the time of spay.

02-07-25 Chickadee is a lovely, sweet, and quiet girl who has come to us from a breeder. She’s not the most energetic lady and prefers a calm and peaceful pace of life. Sudden movements or loud approaches can worry her, and she may run away at first but beneath that initial shyness is a heart full of gentle hope.

With a slow and steady approach, Chickadee begins to show her true, affectionate self. Once she trusts you, she will quietly seek out your hand for a gentle fuss, especially if you’re on the softer and quieter side, just like her.

Chickadee will need a kind and confident resident dog in the home to help her settle in and to be her guide as she continues learning about trust, companionship, and home life. She’s never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be patient and kind as she learns the basics, such as house training and gaining confidence indoors.

She does walk on a lead and, once settled, would enjoy calm and gentle adventures at her own pace.

Chickadee is a tender little soul with so much love to give, she just needs the right home to help her blossom. With time, patience, and another canine friend by her side, she will become the most loyal and loving companion.

Chickadee has come to us with an inguinal herniation on the left mammary gland that will be repaired at the time of spay.
