06-07-25 Chia Pet is an adorable boy who has come to us from a breeder to begin his new life and search for the loving forever home he so deserves. Chia Pet is a sweet but shy lad who is feeling rather overwhelmed to find himself here at the moment. He has a very gentle nature and is in need of time, patience, and lots of TLC to help him blossom.

Chia Pet relies heavily on the company of his kennel friends for comfort and confidence, so he will need a home where there is at least one other kind and confident resident dog who can be his friend and help him to settle in. His favourite thing to do here is to spend time in the play yard with his doggy pals, where he feels safe and happiest.

Chia Pet has never lived in a home before, so everything will be new to him. His adopters will need to be kind and understanding as he settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. He will need to learn all about walking on a lead and harness, first around the garden until he gains confidence to venture further.

When Chia Pet arrived, he was already missing most of his teeth, and has since had his remaining teeth extracted, so he now has no teeth at all. Because of this, he will need a soft food diet for the rest of his life. Our vets have also noted that he has a narrow anus, though this does not appear to cause him any problems, it is being monitored.

Chia Pet is a very special little dog with so much love to give once he feels safe. If you can offer him a kind, patient, and understanding home with another dog for companionship, please consider giving this sweet soul the second chance he has been waiting for.
