06-07-25 Calico is a wonderful girl who originally came to us back in October after being rescued from a hoarding environment. She was adopted into a lovely home where she began to experience what it means to be loved. Sadly, Calico began to squabble with some of the smaller female dogs in the home, and it was felt that it would be kinder to help her find a more suitable environment where she can truly thrive.

Calico absolutely adores people and would love an active home where she can be part of family life. She could live with dog savvy teenagers who will enjoy spending time with her and helping her feel secure and loved.

She is confident enough that she could be homed as the only dog in the home as long as her adopters were around most of the time, but she could also be homed with a male dog of a similar size or larger who is calm and laid back. Calico cannot live with cats or small furries.

Calico has lived in a home before and is house trained, although she may need gentle reminders about toileting when she settles into her new home. She is also crate trained, which will be helpful for giving her a safe and cosy space of her own.

She walks nicely on a lead and is good in the car, so she will be a fantastic companion for walks and adventures with her new family. Calico also has a playful side and really enjoys her toys.
