Rob Roy arrived at Many Tears Animal Rescue after a difficult start in life as a breeding dog, and though he’s come a long way, he’s still searching for the special person or family who will give him the patience, love, and understanding he truly deserves.

Rob Roy is a sweet boy, but he’s understandably wary of new people. When you first meet him, he may stand back, unsure, but once he gets to know you, he’ll greet you with a wagging tail and eager affection. He’s a bit nervous in new environments, but with time, he will show his true, loving nature. He loves his canine companions and relies on them for comfort and confidence, so he would thrive in a home with at least one other calm, confident dog who can show him the ropes and help him feel secure.

Rob Roy’s ideal home would be quiet, calm, and with experienced adopters who understand the needs of a nervous, ex-breeding dog. A home with no children is essential, as loud noises and sudden movements can overwhelm him. He needs someone who can allow him the time and space to settle into his new life and help him learn about the world outside of the kennel. He will need patience for basic training, such as house training and walking on a lead, but he’s shown tremendous progress in these areas and is a quick learner.

Rob Roy is an incredibly affectionate boy, and once he trusts you, he’ll shower you with love and attention. He has a playful side, especially when he’s with his kennel friends, and he enjoys walks, toys, and cuddles. He’s a true gem—loyal, gentle, and deserving of a home where he can feel safe and loved.
