  • Human family requirements

I need an adult-only home with no visiting kids to keep me stress-free.

  • Other pet requirements

I would like to be homed either as an only dog or with a resident dog larger than me.

  • House and garden requirements

I’m active and would love a large, secure garden to let off steam.

  • Out and about requirements

I’d enjoy one or two quiet walks a day and plenty of cuddle time.

  • Training needs

I walk well on the lead but will need help with housetraining.

  • Medical issues

I’m fully vaccinated and spayed, ready for my forever home!

Channel is a sweet but shy girl who came to us from a home where many dogs were being hoarded and neglected in a small space. She has made great progress in learning to trust humans and now enjoys gentle fuss when approached calmly. Though still unsure, she shows a strong desire to be loved and will flourish with time and patience. Once she gets to know you, she wants to be your best friend.

Channel walks nicely on a lead and would love to go on plenty of adventures. Currently, her kennel parents take her out as often as they can so that she can explore and get all of her sniffs in! She would do best in a quiet home with children aged 12+ and who are dog-savvy and able to respect her need for space while she adjusts. A resident dog of beagle size or larger would be a helpful companion to guide her, though she may also be happy as an only dog if her adopters are around most of the time. Channel is not comfortable around flat-faced breeds (such as Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, or Pugs), so we are looking for a home without these types of dogs to help her feel secure.

She will need adopters who can gently support her through house training and help her settle into home life at her own pace.

Most of the dogs from her past have already found their forever homed, now it’s Channel’s turn to find her happily ever after. With love and patience, she will blossom into a wonderful companion.

Channel's Diary

  • I had a lovely little adventure up to the agility yard recently! I enjoyed stretching my legs, having a good sniff around, and taking in all the new sights and smells. It was nice to have some one-on-one time, but if I’m honest, I much prefer when my doggy friends are with me, their presence makes me feel more relaxed and confident.

I was brave enough to come over for some tasty treats (yum!), but I still like having a bit of space to myself while I get to know you. Once I’d had a wander and taken it all in, I was more than ready to head back and reunite with my kennel pals, there’s nothing quite like the comfort of familiar faces.

Every little outing helps me grow a bit braver, and I’m learning more each day about how lovely the world can be.

I went for a walk up to the agility yard and I enjoyed running around and having a sniff, but I much prefer having my friends there with me. I went over for some treats but preferred my own space. When it was time to go I was ready to get back and see my kennel friends.

  • Channel came to us back in November, she was one of many dogs that came to us from the same home, most of her friends have been adopted but somehow Channel has been overlooked.
She is a very sweet lady, and once you get to know her she absolutely loves you.

She enjoys going out for walks and will get very excited, she can be a little reactive at times so will need some training with this.

Channel could potentially be an only dog if the home is a good fit, other than that she could possibly be homed with a larger male, but this would come down to the meet and greet. We feel it's best if there are no children or cats in her new home, just someone who will give her all the love she deserves.

  • Channel has been with us a few weeks now and is doing well. Considering she was quite nervous when coming to us she has made good progress. She will approach you for a sniff and a fuss if you go slow with her and you can see she’s starting to enjoy having a fuss and is more trusting. Channel is starting to learn harness walking and it has been quite overwhelming for her. However, she is trying her best to take it in her stride and will get there.

She would be best suited in a calm environment in an adult only home so she can become the best version of herself in her own time. Another resident dog would be beneficial too her as she’s only ever known being with other dogs and it’ll help her adapt to a new environment with house training etc… With all the love, time and patience channel will become the most sweetest girl.

  • Meet Channel, she is a lovely little lady that has come to us from a home where many dogs were being hoarded and neglected in a small space. Channel is a shy girl but after some time she will approach you and accept fuss as long as you are calm and slow, but she is still very unsure. Channel is showing us that she wants to be loved and is just unsure about human kindness but with time we know she is going to shine so bright. Channel would be best homed with a male  dog who is larger than her.  She has always been around other dogs but gets on better with males and another dog will help her settle into her new forever home and also give her a helping paw with training. We will assess her once she has settled to see if she can be an only dog.

Channel will need to be taught house manners such as toilet training and how to walk on a lead. She will need adopters that are able to give her unlimited time and patience to help her settle in and come out of her shell, she already shows us how much she wants to be loved so we know she won't take long to understand human kindness. Channel will need a home with no visiting children as she will need somewhere calm and quiet to settle and become the beloved family member she is meant to be. She will need a home with no cats or small furries.

Can live with other dogs
