Meet Fernando – A Special Boy Looking for His Perfect Home!

Fernando arrived with us from a breeder, initially a very shy and worried boy. Hand-shy and sensitive, he needed time, patience, and gentle handling to help him build trust. Over the weeks, this lovely Beagle has blossomed, revealing his playful, affectionate, and energetic nature.

With time and care, Fernando has grown in confidence. He now greets familiar people with the waggiest tail, happily comes forward for chin scratches, and even enjoys having his jumper put on. While he was initially fearful of being handled, he has made huge progress, he wears his harness well and has started going on short walks. Though cars can spook him, he recovers quickly, tail wagging as he explores. He is exceptionally clean in his kennel, suggesting house training should come easily in a home environment.

Fernando is looking for an adult-only home with a confident, kind resident dog to help guide him. He needs a calm and patient adopter who will give him time to settle, gain trust, and continue to build his confidence. Once he feels safe, he is the most loving boy, always seeking cuddles and affection, we think his favourite place will be snuggled up next to you on the sofa!
