Sparkle

Sparkle is a beautiful little dog who has come a long way since her arrival at Many Tears. Initially a very scared girl, Sparkle struggled with being handled and was overwhelmed by her new environment. She had never left her breeders and never knew the comforts of living in a home until now. Despite her early fears, Sparkle has blossomed into a sweet and loving soul with the right care and patience.
After her arrival, Sparkle surprised us by giving birth to four puppies, which gave her a chance to focus on something other than her fears. Now that her puppies have all gone to their forever homes, Sparkle is ready to shine on her own. While she is still a little reserved, Sparkle’s character is starting to emerge. She loves her toys (especially chew toys!) and has started to trust more, showing increasing confidence each day.
Sparkle is doing wonderfully in her foster home, where she is loved and supported. She’s already enjoying her food, relaxing in the garden, and decompressing in a calm environment. Sparkle gets along well with the six dogs in her foster home, but doesn’t necessarily need a cuddle buddy. What’s even more heartwarming is that she has started to play with her chew toy, a big sign of progress. Her tail is often held high, and she’s starting to relax around the house, rolling around in her bed with ease.
Though Sparkle still isn’t keen on being handled, she’s becoming more comfortable and trusting. She’s still an expert at evading being touched, but she’s growing in confidence and starting to spend more time with her foster family. Sparkle will need a kind and confident resident dog to help guide her, and adopters who are patient, understanding, and experienced with nervous dogs. She will also need a calm, adult-only home where she can continue to decompress and grow.
Sparkle is a little star, and with the right family, she’ll continue to thrive and eventually become the loving companion she’s always deserved to be. Don’t let this precious girl wait too much longer for her forever home—Sparkle is ready to find the warmth and love she’s been dreaming of.
