Paisley

Paisley is a sweet natured girl who came to us from a breeder and is currently in foster learning about all of the joys that come with home life and companionship. When Paisley first came to us, she would run away when approached and would look at us with big swelled up eyes that would just break your heart. It seemed that her sad gaze was her way of attempting to communicate that she wants to be loved, she just didn't know how to accept it. Now, Paisley is in foster with other Bernese's and is learning to open her big heart to us humans. Paisley's favourite thing in life, and what she most looks forward to most is her food and will bark if her wait staff (her foster mum) is late to the delivery time (dinner time) and if it was up to her she would be running the restaurant (the kitchen). As you can see Paisley is a big girly, and although we don't judge a lady by her size, she will require a large garden and home to stretch her legs and enjoy the outdoors. When Paisley first came to us it was obvious she was living in fear and was only surviving rather than enjoying life. Now, Paisley knows what it means to live in a safe environment and enjoy time with her furry friends. This has helped Paisley grow her confidence and although she is still learning about us humans and can be weary of us, she is open to the idea of a gentle fuss here and there. Paisley has come to us with a Grade 2-3 heart murmur that is being maintained by medication and which will need to be continued in her new home. Paisley will need an adult only home where her adopters are around most of the time as well as a kind resident dog, preferably her size to look to while she settles into her new environment.
