  • Human family requirements

I need a quiet home where I won’t be overwhelmed.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe but I haven’t met cats yet so I'm not sure

  • House and garden requirements

I like exploring the garden so a secure garden with lots of sniffs would be great.

  • Out and about requirements

I’d enjoy one or two quiet walks a day and plenty of cuddle time.

  • Training needs

I can walk on the lead and I'm still learning about housetraining.

  • Medical issues

I have a great 4 heart murmur and take medication to control seizures.

Georgie is one of 12 little dogs who came to us after a heartbreaking rescue. Their former owner loved them deeply, but after losing her home and struggling with her mental health, she found herself living in a small caravan with no electricity or running water. Despite trying everything she could, she couldn’t provide the life they needed. In a true act of love, she entrusted us with her dogs and we made sure she found safety and support, too.

Since arriving, Georgie has shown incredible resilience. He’s now thriving in foster care, where his sweet and gentle nature shines. He’s sociable, affectionate, and particularly good with younger dogs, patiently running and playing with them in the garden.

Georgie is a simple soul who enjoys the little things: a cozy spot on the sofa, a warm lap, a good meal, and his beloved hamburger-shaped toy, which he proudly carries around. Every evening at 7 p.m., he settles down and sleeps peacefully through the night.

He’s been checked by our vets and had one tooth removed. He also has a Grade 4 heart murmur and Epilepsy, both of which are being well-managed with medication. His foster mum says he’s doing great and living life to the fullest.

Georgie would thrive in a calm, loving home with a few doggy friends to keep him company. He’s come such a long way and now he just needs a family to give him the second chance he so deserves.

Georgie's Diary

  • This lovely boy is still waiting for his forever home. He’s a kind, social little man, patient with younger dogs and always up for a good run in the garden with them.

He has an amazing appetite and, like clockwork, cuddles up on the sofa at 7 p.m., sleeping peacefully through the night.

He’s a happy, easygoing guy who would thrive in a family with a couple of doggy friends to bond with. Please consider giving him the chance to be part of a loving forever family. He truly deserves it.

  • Georgie is one of 12 little dogs who have come to Many Tears as part of an emergency rescue situation. They have all been owned and loved by a lady who sadly lost her home and had a difficult time with her mental health. She lived for her dogs but had nowhere to go with them. Things reached crisis point when all the dogs were living in a small caravan with no electric or running water, in freezing conditions.

The dogs were frightened, either hiding away or barking with worry. The lady tried everything she could to give the dogs the life they deserved but was unable to do so and knew the only way to show them she loved them for one last time was to allow them to live with families who could give them the warm, stable and loving environment they need.

We agreed to take the dogs and we also took the lady somewhere she would be safe, warm and cared for. Georgie is now currently in foster where he is absolutely loving life and has settled in so well and we don't think it will take him long to settle into his forever home.

Georgie loves going on walks, tasty treats and food, and a hamburger stuffed toy that is bigger than he is! Georgie doesn't want for much, just a warm lap to curl up in and a TV where he can watch his favorite shows. Oh! And of course, a hamburger stuffed toy he can drag around the house. After being evaluated by our vets, Georgie has had one tooth extraction and has been diagnosed with a Grade 4 heart murmur as well as Epilepsy. According to Georgie's foster mum, he is managing well with medication and we will be able to discuss this further with any potential applications. Yay Georgie!
