  • Human family requirements

I need a calm and quiet, adult only home where I can settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I will need a kind resident dog to take me under their wing. I have never met cats.

  • House and garden requirements

I would love a garden to run and play in!

  • Out and about requirements

I’d enjoy one or two quiet walks a day and plenty of cuddle time.

  • Training needs

I am in a foster home now so am learning all about home life and house training.

  • Medical issues

    Please read my information below.

Lady originally came to us in January 2025 from a home through no fault of her own after her owners had been made homeless. She has been in a foster home for the last few months and is doing incredibly well. Lady took a week or so to settle into her foster home as she can find meeting new people quite stressful. She will initially bark and pace around new people but has met a few regularly now and this is getting much better. Lady would prefer a calm and quiet home with only a few visitors that she can get to know.

Despite this, she has settled very well and formed a special bond with her foster mum and now her cheeky Frenchie character is shining through! Lady gets on really well with all breeds of dog and especially loves to play. She would love a home with one or more playful dogs who can be her friend and help her to settle in.

Lady is used to sleeping in the bedroom and will sneak up on the bed when everyone is asleep to get the most comfy, warm sleep spot! Out and about Lady has excellent recall in a secure field and loves going on walking adventures with her dog friends. She is very well behaved in the car and on the lead. Her other adventures to help her confidence have included visiting cafes for breakfast and coffees and pubs for tasty nibbles! She has been very brave doing this and we have been sure to give her loads of praise and snacks.

When Lady arrived and was checked by the Vet she had a mammary mass removed and her nasal passages widened. Lady also has a stenotic (narrowed) ear canal and cauliflower ear in her left ear caused by multiple untreated ear infections. This means that the ventilation in her left ear is quite poor and she is prone to ear infections. We have been warned by the vet that she may need a total ear canal ablation in the future if her ear infections can't be controlled and we are trying very hard to avoid this. Lady has been put onto Apoquel, salmon oil and a specific diet with a regular ear cleaning routine which seems to be helping a lot right now. Lady's future adopters would need to be aware that anything ear related would not be covered by insurance.

We are looking for a very specific home for Lady. She will need a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience with scared dogs. It would also be beneficial if they had experience of managing allergy or ear issues. If they had experience with Frenchies this would be idea! She will also need at least one playful dog in her new home.

Lady has clearly had a heartbreaking past that we will never know about and she deserves the world in her new forever home full of love, cuddles and adventures!
